Yasushi Nakama vs Mitsuru Kono

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Hiroshima promoted show at Hiroshima Oyama, Hiroshima,  taking place on 13/06/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Japan-Hiroshima Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Yasushi Nakama (18(7) - 0 - 1(NC)) who hails from Hiroshima, Japan and Mitsuru Kono(5 - 11 - 1) from Kure, Japan.  Both Nakama and Kono weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hiro Kamei, and the three ringside judges are Hikaru Muranaka, Yuichi Sawa and Kyo Uchida.  

Round 1: 

Nakama is on target with a stinging right hook.  Nakama ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Nakama pushes his forearm into Kono's face.  The ref breaks Nakama's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
