Xaver Esqueda vs Eloy Laura

Boxing Daily Report from the Supreme Boxing Promotions promoted show at Rafael Trejo Boxing Gym, Havana,  taking place on 24/05/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Xaver Esqueda (5 - 0) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Eloy Laura(3 - 1) from Havana, Cuba.  Esqueda weighed in at 146 pounds And 13 ounces, while Laura weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alejandro Limas, and the three ringside judges are Agapetus Triana, Montel Palencia and Ponce Barro.  

Round 1:

Esqueda digs in a solid left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Esqueda steps to the outside and connects with a cross.  
Esqueda attempts to land an overhand right, but Laura dodges the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Laura is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Esqueda steps to the outside.  Esqueda sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.
