Alcnaeon Sideris vs Apollo Contos

Boxing Daily Report from the Ancient Isle Boxing promoted show at Ancient Gym, Heraklion,  taking place on 23/06/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alcnaeon Sycho Sideris (11(3) - 0) who hails from Athens, Greece and Apollo Contos(7 - 1 - 1) from Piraeus, Greece.  Sideris weighed in at 230 pounds And 14 ounces, while Contos weighed in at 241 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Colum Pitera, and the three ringside judges are Asopus Xenos, Asopus Xenos and Telegonus Elias.  

Round 1: 

Sideris steps inside.  Sideris sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Sideris attempts to land a left hook, but Contos sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Sideris closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Sideris clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Sideris pushes his forearm into Contos's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Sideris.  
Contos switches the action to the outside and throws an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Contos throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
Sideris lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Sideris gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Sideris advances into close range and manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Sideris sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a stinging right hook.  
Sideris lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Contos pivots to the side of his opponent.  Sideris hits home with a left hook.  
Sideris connects with a cross.  
Sideris closes the distance and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Contos pivots to the right of his opponent.  Sideris connects with a left hook.  Sideris clinches his opponent.  Sideris uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Contos's kidney. The referee warns Sideris and breaks the clinch.  
Sideris walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Sideris is on target with a right uppercut to Contos's body.  Sideris holds on to his opponent.  Sideris uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Contos behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Sideris.  
Sideris lands a stinging left hook.  
Sideris sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Sideris drives a sharp right hook into his opponents ribs.
