Corey Murray vs Kian Ewing

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Auckland promoted show at Papatoetoe Cosmopolitan Club, Auckland,  taking place on 07/06/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the New Zealand-Auckland Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Prime, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Corey Murray (9 - 4) who hails from North Shore, New Zealand and Kian Ewing(9 - 6 - 1) from Manukau, New Zealand.  Murray weighed in at 147 pounds, while Ewing weighed in at 146 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Declan Haturini, and the three ringside judges are Max Weatherspoon, Blake Brown and Henry Ngahoro.  

Round 1: 

Murray lands with a ramrod jab.
