Wayne Vaughn vs Brendan Malis

Boxing Daily Report from the Hard hitting promotions promoted show at Michael Rendall Gym, Nassau,  taking place on 15/05/2026:

Clearly Hard hitting promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Bahamas-New Providence Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Wayne Vaughn (2 - 2) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Brendan Malis(4 - 3) from Nassau, Bahamas.  Both Vaughn and Malis weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Ogg, and the three ringside judges are Dominic Pollock, John Hanton and Sam Griffiths.  

Round 1: 

Malis advances into close range and digs in a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.  Malis ties up his opponent.  Malis is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Malis forces Vaughn to retreat onto the ropes.  Malis lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Malis throws a right uppercut, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Malis drives a solid left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Malis lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Malis is looking to close the distance.  Vaughn sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Malis is on target with a solid right hook to Vaughn's ribcage.  
Malis lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Malis drives a right uppercut into Vaughn's body.  
Malis lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Malis sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Malis digs in a stinging left hook to Vaughn's body.  
Vaughn is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Malis forces Vaughn to back into a corner.  Malis lands a right uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Malis lands a solid right hook.  
Malis lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Malis connects with a sharp left hook.  Malis ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Malis pushes his forearm into Vaughn's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Vaughn feints a cross, tricking Malis into throwing a right hook counter.  Vaughn springs the trap, countering with  a left hook.  
Malis hits home with a cross.  
Malis is looking to close the distance and hits home with a solid left hook.  
Malis gets on the inside.  Vaughn pivots to the left of his opponent.  Vaughn attempts to land a left hook, but Malis sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Malis lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.

Malis quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Malis drives a stinging left hook into his opponents ribs.  Malis ties up his opponent.  Malis is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Malis about fouling.  
Malis steps inside.  Vaughn pivots from in front of his opponent.  Malis lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Vaughn tries to keep the action at long range and strikes his opponents body with a cross.

Vaughn drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Malis digs in a stinging left hook to Vaughn's body.  
Malis advances into close range and walks his opponent into a corner.  Malis lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Malis is looking to close the distance.  Vaughn pivots to the left of his opponent.  Malis digs in a left hook to Vaughn's ribs.  Malis ties up his opponent.  Malis leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Malis tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Vaughn's kidney. 
Vaughn steps to the outside and lands a cross.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Malis has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.

Malis gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Malis lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS VAUGHN TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
Malis thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Vaughn away.  Malis lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head, KNOCKING VAUGHN DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.  It looks like Vaughn has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Malis steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by two right hook's to the head.  
Malis forces Vaughn to back into a corner.  Malis drives a stinging right hook into his opponents body.  
Malis pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.

Malis senses Vaughn is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Malis crashes a spiteful left uppercut to Vaughn's ribs.  VAUGHN IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE UNSTEADILY TRIES TO GET UP BUT IS UNABLE TO BEAT THE 10 COUNT!  The winner by KO is Malis!
