Alik Ignatiev vs Ryuu Shoda

Boxing Daily Report from the Pearlnew Promotions promoted show at Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo,  taking place on 15/06/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Alik Ignatiev (5 - 0) who hails from Nizhny Novgorod, Russia and Ryuu Shoda(0 - 8 - 1) from Takatsuki, Japan.  Both Ignatiev and Shoda weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michi Uyehara, and the three ringside judges are Yuichi Abe, Hideki Ishibashi and Akira Kishimoto.  

Round 1: 

Ignatiev closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Ignatiev steps inside.  Ignatiev retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Shoda steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Ignatiev tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a straight 1 - 2.  Ignatiev attempts to land a jab, but Shoda sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Shoda tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Ignatiev lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Ignatiev closes the distance.  Shoda pivots to the side of his opponent.  Ignatiev lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Shoda quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Ignatiev hits home with a firm left uppercut.  
Ignatiev advances into close range and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Shoda pivots to the left of his opponent.  Shoda throws a left uppercut, but Ignatiev ties up his opponent.  Ignatiev leans on his opponent using all his weight. Ignatiev tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Shoda behind the head. As they grapple, Ignatiev pushes his forearm into Shoda's face.  The ref breaks Ignatiev's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Ignatiev lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Ignatiev steps away from his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Shoda steps inside.  Ignatiev is on target with a left hook.  
Ignatiev digs in a right hook to Shoda's ribs.  
Ignatiev lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.
