Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nicaragua-Masaya promoted show at Masaya Morena, Masaya,  taking place on 17/06/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nicaragua-Masaya Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jose Chinchilla (13 - 0) who hails from Masaya, Nicaragua and Antonio Merlos(7 - 1 - 2) from Masaya, Nicaragua.  Chinchilla weighed in at 125 pounds and 14 ounces, while Merlos weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Marco Caba, and the three ringside judges are Gervasio Otero, Santiago Casco and Jose Felix.

Merlos tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.

Chinchilla gets on the inside.  Merlos pivots to the right of his opponent.  Chinchilla lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.
