John McGrath vs Paul Barry

Boxing Daily Report from the Adalimortty Promotions promoted show at Wavy Gym, Detroit,  taking place on 17/06/2026:

Clearly Adalimortty Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Michigan Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John McGrath (3 - 3 - 1) who hails from Detroit, USA and Paul Barry(10 - 2 - 2) from Detroit, USA.  Both McGrath and Barry weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jacob Herritt, and the three ringside judges are John Kennan, Leeroy Shedden and Mike Devin.  

Round 1: 

Barry feints a cross, but McGrath does not fall for it and lands with a right hook.  
McGrath pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
McGrath pivots to the right of his opponent.  Barry lands a jab.  
Barry gets on the inside.  McGrath lands a left hook.

It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Barry.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
