John Laurent vs Hugh Alison

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Pennsylvania promoted show at Phil Whiteford Gym, Allentown,  taking place on 17/06/2026:

Clearly AI USA-Pennsylvania have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Pennsylvania Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Laurent (7 - 12 - 2) who hails from Philadelphia, USA and Hugh Alison(4 - 0) from Philadelphia, USA.  Both Laurent and Alison weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joey Grierson, and the three ringside judges are John Beall, Ben Begue and Sam Doig.  

Round 1: 

Alison steps inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
As Laurent tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Alison dabs at his face checking for damage.
