Kasimir Geckler vs Maximilian Scherle

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Germany-North Rhine-Westphalia promoted show at Duisburg Henke, Duisburg,  taking place on 18/06/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Germany-North Rhine-Westphalia Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SPORT1, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kasimir Geckler (8 - 2 - 3) who hails from Dusseldorf, Germany and Maximilian Scherle(5 - 10 - 2) from Bochum, Germany.  Both Geckler and Scherle weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ivo Saltzer, and the three ringside judges are Roch Geitner, Kasimir Demerath and Werner Arn.
