Mauro Adriano vs Gianluigi Asaro

Boxing Daily Report from the Sowah Promotions promoted show at Naples Chiti, Naples,  taking place on 22/05/2026:

Clearly Sowah Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Italy-Campania Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mauro Adriano (8 - 8 - 1) who hails from Naples, Italy and Gianluigi Asaro(15 - 1(1)) from Naples, Italy.  Both Adriano and Asaro weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Luigi Rosato, and the three ringside judges are Luigi Mauro, Mario Coronella and Valerio Padelli.  

Round 1: 

Asaro gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Asaro lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.
