Yuichi Toma vs Yasushi Sawada

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Chiba promoted show at Matsudo Kanemoto, Matsudo,  taking place on 23/05/2026:

Clearly AI Japan-Chiba have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Chiba Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Yuichi Toma (8 - 6 - 2) who hails from Matsudo, Japan and Yasushi Sawada(3 - 6 - 3) from Chiba, Japan.  Both Toma and Sawada weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Takeo Nakanishi, and the three ringside judges are Daiki Matsunaga, Hajime Hino and Mikio Kawai.
