Hiro Mochizuki vs Iwao Soga

Boxing Daily Report from the Panyin Promotions promoted show at Kitakyushu Kobayashi, Kitakyushu,  taking place on 23/05/2026:

Clearly Panyin Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Fukuoka Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hiro Mochizuki (3 - 6 - 2) who hails from Fukuoka, Japan and Iwao Soga(7 - 3 - 2) from Kitakyushu, Japan.  Both Mochizuki and Soga weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Eiji Ban, and the three ringside judges are Hiroki Sawa, Hisao Sone and Kazuki Shimoda.  

Round 1: 

Mochizuki pivots to the right of his opponent andAs Mochizuki tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Soga dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Mochizuki switches the action to the outside and lands a jab.
