Nao Okamoto vs Isamu Kawata

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Kanagawa promoted show at Kawasaki Ishikawa, Kawasaki,  taking place on 21/06/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan-Kanagawa Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nao Okamoto (8(1) - 0) who hails from Yokohama, Japan and Isamu Kawata(11 - 4 - 3) from Sagamihara, Japan.  Both Okamoto and Kawata weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hikaru Koizumi, and the three ringside judges are Iwao Tanabe, Fumio Tanigawa and Keiichi Hatanaka.
