Boxing Daily Report from the AI Uganda-Northern Region promoted show at Xhosas Kiyingi Gym, Gulu,  taking place on 20/06/2026:

Clearly AI Uganda-Northern Region have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Uganda-Northern Region Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Waqas Allam (3 - 3 - 5) who hails from Gulu, Uganda and Marques Bakabulindi(5 - 1 - 3) from Lira, Uganda.  Both Allam and Bakabulindi weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sid Commins, and the three ringside judges are Sam Nyanzi, Malcolm Kalemazikusoka and Majid Aman.
