Paul Clugston vs Joshua Vita

Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Walter Pyramid, Long Beach,  taking place on 07/07/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Paul Clugston (6(2) - 0) who hails from Austin, USA and Joshua Vita(1(1) - 4 - 1) from San Diego, USA.  Both Clugston and Vita weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is William Shawn, and the three ringside judges are Arthur Moultrie, Noah Denoon and Cris Villagomez.  

Round 1: 

Clugston throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Clugston clinches his opponent.  Clugston pushes his forearm into Vita's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Clugston to stop fouling.  
Vita is looking to close the distance.  Clugston lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Clugston ties up his opponent.  Clugston leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Clugston lands three consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.
