Yago Tomes vs Xavier Pinedo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Puerto Rico-Carolina promoted show at Carolina Ortuno, Carolina,  taking place on 29/05/2026:

Clearly AI Puerto Rico-Carolina have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Puerto Rico-Carolina Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Yago Tomes (14 - 3) who hails from Carolina, Puerto Rico and Xavier Pinedo(4 - 10 - 4) from Carolina, Puerto Rico.  Tomes weighed in at 107 pounds and 5 ounces, while Pinedo weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Gonzalo Perron, and the three ringside judges are Vicente Espejo, Juan Anzures and Juan Cano.
