Sam Preece vs Chivalry Oltz

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Pavillon de Juenesse, Quebec City,  taking place on 04/07/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Sam Preece (9 - 0) who hails from Winnipeg, Canada and Chivalry Oltz(7 - 4 - 4) from Montreal, Canada.  Preece weighed in at 118 pounds, while Oltz weighed in at 117 pounds and 5 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Elliot Girardot, and the three ringside judges are Destin Dauphin, Paris Clarin and Michael Oliver.  

Round 1: 

Oltz switches the action to the outside and tries to land a jab, but Preece sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Preece advances into close range and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Preece gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  Preece ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Preece lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Preece drives a left uppercut into Oltz's ribs.  
Preece sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Preece is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Preece ties up his opponent.  Preece pushes his forearm into Oltz's face.  The referee warns Preece and breaks the clinch.
