Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Canterbury promoted show at Christchurch Cathey, Christchurch,  taking place on 26/06/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the New Zealand-Canterbury Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David Lochhead (7 - 1) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Eteka Kahu(11 - 7) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Both Lochhead and Kahu weighed in at 134 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Stephen Suite, and the three ringside judges are Gareth Young, Ikei Kahu and Noel Haxton.
