Rabiu Nzekwu vs Waqar Awan

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Lagos State promoted show at Lagos Orelesi, Lagos,  taking place on 26/06/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Nigeria-Lagos State Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rabiu Nzekwu (6 - 4(1)) who hails from Lagos, Nigeria and Waqar Awan(15 - 6(1) - 2) from Lagos, Nigeria.  Both Nzekwu and Awan weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Danyaal Habibi, and the three ringside judges are Juwon Olumide, Dominic Ojebode and Nwankwo George.
