Davie Johnston vs Yasin Kakazai

Boxing Daily Report from the Hennessy Boxing promoted show at Geelong Baseball Centre, Geelong,  taking place on 11/07/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Oceania Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Davie Johnston (11 - 6 - 2) who hails from Sydney, Australia and Yasin Kakazai(13(1) - 3(1)) from Newcastle, Australia.  Johnston weighed in at 140 pounds, while Kakazai weighed in at 139 pounds And 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Dom Clapperton, and the three ringside judges are James Tarbert, Gareth Dovey and James Tarbert.
