Dmitri Zhitnik vs Melor Kaplan

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Russia-Rostov Oblast promoted show at Taganrog Smyshlyaev, Taganrog,  taking place on 29/06/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Russia Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport Russia, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Dmitri Zhitnik (16(9) - 7(5)) who hails from Taganrog, Russia and Melor Kaplan(13 - 2) from Krasnoyarsk, Russia.  Both Zhitnik and Kaplan weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ioakim Zobnin, and the three ringside judges are Sergei Genrich, Afon Khoroshilov and Dmitriy Bolotin.
