John Headen vs James Craigen

Boxing Daily Report from the PitBull Promotions promoted show at Pembroke Pines Balfour, Pembroke Pines,  taking place on 01/07/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-Florida Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Headen (11(3) - 0 - 1) who hails from Port St. Lucie, USA and James Craigen(11 - 11(1) - 2) from Tallahassee, USA.  Both Headen and Craigen weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dave Kay, and the three ringside judges are Leo Couch, Arran Huntress and Ian Mortland.  

Round 1: 

Headen closes the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Headen ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Headen pushes his forearm into Craigen's face.  The referee warns Headen and breaks the clinch.
