Oscar Muzorewa vs Lloyd Matongo

Boxing Daily Report from the Harare Boxing Club promoted show at Chitungwiza Mpoful, Chitungwiza,  taking place on 03/06/2026:

Clearly Harare Boxing Club have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Zimbabwe-Harare Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Oscar Muzorewa (7 - 10 - 1) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Lloyd Matongo(10 - 1 - 4) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  Both Muzorewa and Matongo weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Colin Kabweza, and the three ringside judges are Ian Mataz, Rex Nyabusha and Michael Chipeta.  

Round 1: 

Muzorewa is looking to close the distance.  Matongo pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.
