Tariq Farooqui vs Ali Farah

Boxing Daily Report from the Manyama Promotions promoted show at Kampala Matovu, Kampala,  taking place on 02/07/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uganda-Kampala District Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Tariq Farooqui (9 - 8(2) - 1) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Ali Farah(11 - 7 - 2) from Kampala, Uganda.  Farooqui weighed in at 146 pounds And 5 ounces, while Farah weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Shontae Batuma, and the three ringside judges are Keshawn Wamala, Rehman Shaikh and Rob Kaana.
