Matthew Nourse vs Jonathan Hunter

Boxing Daily Report from the Billy Smith promoted show at Tuscaloosa Andrew, Tuscaloosa,  taking place on 02/07/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Alabama Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Matthew Nourse (10 - 11 - 5) who hails from Huntsville, USA and Jonathan Hunter(8 - 9 - 1) from Mobile, USA.  Both Nourse and Hunter weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kenzie Lovett, and the three ringside judges are Brad Temple, Owen Belliston and Louis Garrow.  

Round 1: 

Hunter steps inside and connects with a left hook.  
Nourse tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a jab.  
Nourse walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Hunter connects with a left hook.  
Nourse throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.
