Mark Steele vs Ian Gillison

Boxing Daily Report from the boxeraifan promoted show at Alen Girvin Gym, Denver,  taking place on 02/07/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Colorado Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Steele (10 - 13(1) - 2) who hails from Denver, USA and Ian Gillison(15 - 7 - 6) from Denver, USA.  Both Steele and Gillison weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mike Allender, and the three ringside judges are Paul Pollick, Kai Latto and Dave Blackard.  

Round 1: 

Steele steps away from his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Gillison advances into close range and lands a left hook.
