Volkan Dogan vs Aydin Sokmen

Boxing Daily Report from the GENCO promoted show at Ankara Achik, Ankara,  taking place on 01/07/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Turkey-Ankara Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Volkan Dogan (10 - 7) who hails from Ankara, Turkey and Aydin Sokmen(9 - 9(2) - 2) from Ankara, Turkey.  Dogan weighed in at 130 pounds, while Sokmen weighed in at 129 pounds And 1 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Batur Atli, and the three ringside judges are Mehmet Halefoglu, Erdem Balkan and Suleiman Nazmi.
