Carlos Tejada vs Diego Lanzo

Boxing Daily Report from the Sumito Urayama's KO Kings promoted show at Casino De Asuncion, Asuncion,  taking place on 19/07/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Carlos Tejada (7 - 1) who hails from Asuncion, Paraguay and Diego Lanzo(10 - 10 - 1) from Cochabamba, Bolivia.  Both Tejada and Lanzo weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nemesio Vidales, and the three ringside judges are Ivan Coca, Agapetus Donoso and Senon Chino.  

Round 1: 

Tejada closes the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps.  Tejada holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Tejada pushes his forearm into Lanzo's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Tejada about fouling.  
Lanzo steps inside.  Tejada connects with a left hook.  Tejada holds on to his opponent.  Tejada is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Tejada's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Lanzo manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Lanzo attempts to land a cross, but Tejada sidesteps and counters with a right hook to Lanzo's ribcage.  
Tejada sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Tejada lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Tejada lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Tejada lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Tejada lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Tejada ties up his opponent.  Tejada leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Tejada lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Lanzo tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Tejada advances into close range and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Tejada feints a jab, and then lands a right hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Tejada steps inside and hits home with a solid right hook.  Tejada ties up his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  Tejada tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Tejada feints a left hook, and then lands a sharp jab.  
Tejada gets on the inside and walks Lanzo down, trapping him in the red corner.  Tejada lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Tejada senses Lanzo is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Tejada lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS LANZO DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  Lanzo now seems to have got his legs back.  
Tejada lands a right hook to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.  
Lanzo steps inside.  Tejada is on target with a hurtful left uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE LANZO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Tejada ties up his opponent.  Tejada leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Tejada's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Lanzo almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Tejada is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Tejada holds on to his opponent.  Tejada is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Tejada connects with a cross.  
Tejada gets on the inside and connects with a solid right uppercut.  
Tejada walks Lanzo onto the ropes.  Tejada pivots to the right of his opponent.  Lanzo throws a right hook, but Tejada ties up his opponent.  Tejada is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Tejada closes the distance and hits home with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lanzo's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Lanzo throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Tejada quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a sharp cross.  
Tejada manouvers Lanzo into the red corner.  Tejada is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Tejada DETONATES a hurtful left hook on his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE LANZO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Lanzo quickly recovers. 
Tejada steps inside and hits home with a sharp left uppercut.  
Tejada feints a left, and then strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Lanzo closes the distance.  Tejada lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Tejada is on target with a right hook.  
Tejada lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Tejada lands a jab followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Tejada tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Tejada steps inside and manouvers Lanzo into a corner.  Tejada lands a mean left uppercut.  LANZO IS HURT!  
Tejada is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Tejada lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  It looks like Lanzo has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Tejada hits home with a sharp right hook.  
Tejada is on target with a stinging cross.  
Tejada is looking to keep the action on the outside and EXPLODES a WICKED overhand left into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE LANZO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Tejada is looking to close the distance.  Tejada is looking to force the stoppage!  Tejada lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, KNOCKING LANZO DOWN!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Tejada!
