Gennady Zakis vs Thoralf Stephensen

Boxing Daily Report from the Latvia Boxing promoted show at Zemgale Olympic Centre, Riga,  taking place on 15/08/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Northern Europe Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Gennady Zakis (10(2) - 1 - 1) who hails from Riga, Latvia and Thoralf Stephensen(16(2) - 0) from Odense, Denmark.  Both Zakis and Stephensen weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sergei Cesnieks, and the three ringside judges are Evgeny Shmits, Afanas Tevinsh and Evgeny Shmits.
