Dai Kawata vs Paul MacConnell

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at John Charles Centre, Leeds,  taking place on 10/07/2026:

Clearly Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dai Kawata (16 - 0) who hails from Kobe, Japan and Paul MacConnell(5 - 2(1) - 1) from London, UK.  Kawata weighed in at 107 pounds and 13 ounces, while MacConnell weighed in at 107 pounds and 2 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Rob Reece, and the three ringside judges are Kenzie Dredge, Matt Ryan and Russell Gwilym.  

Round 1:
