Fumio Tanaka vs Mitsuru Amano

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Yoyogi National Gymnasium, Tokyo,  taking place on 25/07/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Asia-Oceania Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Fumio Tanaka (15(1) - 0 - 1) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Mitsuru Amano(19(4) - 1(1)) from Sakai, Japan.  Tanaka weighed in at 146 pounds and 12 ounces, while Amano weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hisao Yamane, and the three ringside judges are Naoki Morita, Nori Tamanaha and Naoki Morita.
