Patrick Morando vs Rodrigo Gamero

Boxing Daily Report from the Big Bang Promotions promoted show at Scandinavium, Gothenburg,  taking place on 11/07/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Viasat Sport, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Patrick Morando (9(5) - 0) who hails from Los Angeles, USA and Rodrigo Gamero(3 - 0 - 1) from Madrid, Spain.  Morando weighed in at 117 pounds and 8 ounces, while Gamero weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ivar Wallen, and the three ringside judges are Fiske Lingren, Alexander Wilden and Fiske Lingren.

As they grapple, Morando pushes his forearm into Gamero's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Morando to stop fouling.

Gamero steps inside.  Morando hits home with a solid left hook.

As they grapple, Gamero pushes his forearm into Morando's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Gamero about fouling.

Gamero manouvers Morando onto the ropes.  You can sense the frustration from Gamero now.   He throws a low uppercut...that landed south of the border! The ref signals for the action to continue.  He either hasnt noticed the blatant foul or doesnt care! 
Morando steps to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Gamero is looking to close the distance.  Morando pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Gamero throws a right hook, but Morando ties up his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Gamero steps inside and forces Morando to back into the ropes.  Gamero throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Morando time to recover.

Gamero is clearly losing his cool here!   He steps in close and swings a low uppercut into Morando's groin!  The ref signals for the action to continue.  He either hasnt noticed the blatant foul or doesnt care! 
Gamero closes the distance.  Morando lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Morando is looking to keep his distance.  Gamero stands off with low guard waiting for his opponent to launch an attack.  Morando attempts to land a jab, but Gamero slips the shot and counters with a cross.

Gamero gets on the inside.  Gamero is not fighting as well as he'd like.    He throws a hook, and catches Morando low!  The ref tells Gamero to keep his punches above the belt.  He gives Morando time to recover.  
Morando lands a stinging cross.  
Morando tries to step out of his opponents range and lands with a stinging jab.  
Gamero forces Morando to back into the ropes.  Morando throws a left uppercut, but his opponent steps away from the punch.  Morando clinches his opponent.  Morando leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Gamero is starting to lose his head here!   He throws a low uppercut...that landed south of the border! The ref halts the action and sends Morando to the neutral corner.    He has a stern word with Gamero and warns that a point will be deducted if he continues to foul.  
Morando pivots to the right of his opponent.  Gamero lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Gamero gets on the inside and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Morando hits home with a powerful left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE GAMERO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
The right shot from Morando could be enough to force the stoppage!  Morando connects with a hurtful left uppercut.  DOWN GOES GAMERO!  He manages to get up at 8.  
Gamero steps inside.  Morando lands a right hook, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS GAMERO TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
Morando tries to keep the action at long range.  Morando connects with a DESTRUCTIVE right hook.  GAMERO IS DOWN!  THE REF DOES NOT GIVE GAMERO THE CHANCE TO BEAT THE COUNT...HE'S STOPPING THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Morando!
