Lorcan Buckley vs Jason McCrae

Boxing Daily Report from the Mr. Vicious promoted show at RDS Arena, Dublin,  taking place on 01/08/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Irish Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on RET One, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Lorcan Buckley (12(1) - 3 - 2) who hails from Waterford, Ireland and Jason McCrae(10 - 13(2) - 2) from Tallaght, Ireland.  Both Buckley and McCrae weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fionn Donnell, and the three ringside judges are Thomas McShane, Floyd Hobbs and Thomas McShane.  

Round 1: 

Buckley steps inside and connects with a left hook.

Buckley sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Buckley lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS MCCRAE DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
Buckley lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS MCCRAE SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 8.  
Buckley cuts off the ring, trapping McCrae in a corner.  Buckley lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND DOWN GOES MCCRAE!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!
