Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Gold Coast,  taking place on 18/07/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Joey Farney (3 - 2) who hails from Sydney, Australia and Jake Moris(7 - 6) from Gold Coast, Australia.  Both Farney and Moris weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Richie Higgins, and the three ringside judges are Barry Forbes, Seth Urbano and John Wark.  

Round 1: 

Moris steps away from his opponent.  Farney sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with an overhand left.
