Fidel Carrero vs Santiago Varon

Boxing Daily Report from the Yalley Promotions promoted show at Guayaquil Murrillo, Guayaquil,  taking place on 17/06/2026:

Clearly Yalley Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ecuador Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Fidel Carrero (16 - 5) who hails from Guayaquil, Ecuador and Santiago Varon(16(4) - 4(4)) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Both Carrero and Varon weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joaquin Mejia, and the three ringside judges are Pedro Siman, Dario Ramirez and Vicente Tamez.  

Round 1: 

Carrero strikes his opponents body with a cross.
