Urmas Turunen vs Jarmo Jokela

Boxing Daily Report from the Acquaah Promotions promoted show at Helsinki Keskitalo, Helsinki,  taking place on 19/07/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Finland-Uusimaa Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Urmas Turunen (12 - 8 - 3) who hails from Espoo, Finland and Jarmo Jokela(11 - 10 - 2) from Helsinki, Finland.  Both Turunen and Jokela weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kaarlo Nurmela, and the three ringside judges are Matteus Vaatainen, Valdemar Makela and Erkki Hattonen.  

Round 1: 

Jokela quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Turunen connects with a cross.  
Turunen is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Jokela drives a jab into Turunen's body.
