Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Canterbury promoted show at Christchurch Cathey, Christchurch,  taking place on 18/07/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the New Zealand-Canterbury Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Michael Shanklin (8 - 8(1) - 4) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Lewis Leslie(4 - 7 - 3) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Shanklin weighed in at 199 pounds and 3 ounces, while Leslie weighed in at 200 pounds.
