Joey Agbee vs Lloyd Akafia

Boxing Daily Report from the Lamptey Promotions promoted show at Accra Labi, Accra,  taking place on 20/07/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ghana-Greater Accra Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joey Agbee (3(1) - 1) who hails from Accra, Ghana and Lloyd Akafia(9 - 6(1) - 3) from Accra, Ghana.  Both Agbee and Akafia weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Akafia, and the three ringside judges are Aaron Adams, Bilal Haider and Felix Kasanbata.  

Round 1: 

Agbee is on target with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Agbee throws a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Agbee manages to force Akafia onto the ropes.  Agbee lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Agbee lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Agbee digs in a right hook to Akafia's body.  
Agbee feints a left hook, and then lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Akafia lands a jab.  
Akafia forces Agbee to retreat onto the ropes.  Agbee digs in a right hook to Akafia's body.  Agbee ties up his opponent.  Agbee leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Agbee lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Agbee closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Agbee holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks Agbee's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Agbee feints a cross, fooling Akafia into launching a right uppercut counter.  Agbee springs the trap, countering with  a solid right hook.  
Agbee lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Agbee digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents liver.  
Agbee manouvers Akafia onto the ropes.  Agbee pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Agbee lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Agbee clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Agbee pushes his forearm into Akafia's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Agbee.  Akafia almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Agbee lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Akafia pivots to the right of his opponent.  Agbee finds the target with a jab.  
Agbee is looking to close the distance and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Agbee gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Akafia could be stopped here, if Agbee can find the right shot!  Agbee lands a MASSIVE left hook.  AKAFIA IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Akafia now seems to have his senses back.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Akafia's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Akafia's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Agbee drives a hard jab into his opponents face.  
Agbee steps away from his opponent and hits home with a ramrod jab.  
Akafia pivots from in front of his opponent.  Agbee is on target with a stinging cross.  Agbee throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Agbee lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Agbee lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Agbee manages to force Akafia into a neutral corner.  Agbee senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Akafia and just needs the right shot.  Agbee lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES AKAFIA!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Agbee lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head, AND AKAFIA IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He remains on the canvas as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Agbee!
