Hitoshi Iha vs Kaede Matsumoto

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Chiba promoted show at Iwao Takashima Gym, Matsudo,  taking place on 22/06/2026:

Clearly AI Japan-Chiba have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Chiba Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hitoshi Iha (11 - 6 - 3) who hails from Kashiwa, Japan and Kaede Matsumoto(11 - 3 - 1) from Ichikawa, Japan.  Iha weighed in at 200 pounds, while Matsumoto weighed in at 198 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Michi Sakaguchi, and the three ringside judges are Akira Kamei, Fumio Yanagi and Yoshi Uehara.
