Gonzalo Chacon vs Quico Melgar

Boxing Daily Report from the Rourke & Salvador promoted show at Orfeo Superdome, Córdoba,  taking place on 15/08/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South American Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on America Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Gonzalo Chacon (19 - 0) who hails from Rosario, Argentina and Quico Melgar(17(2) - 4 - 1) from Cuenco, Ecuador.  Both Chacon and Melgar weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Juan Mario, and the three ringside judges are Pancho Castrillo, Urvano Rodriquez and Vicente Coito.
