Brad Kelty vs Soren Syvertsen

Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Walter Pyramid, Long Beach,  taking place on 11/08/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Brash Brad Kelty (18(14) - 0) who hails from Green Bay, USA and Soren Syvertsen(19 - 6(2)) from Odense, Denmark.  Both Kelty and Syvertsen weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Zuffur Sylla, and the three ringside judges are Sean Bowens, John Torrance and Seth Coria.  

Round 1: 

Syvertsen gets on the inside and digs in a right hook to Kelty's body.

Kelty steps away from his opponent and attempts to land an overhand right, but Syvertsen sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Kelty sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a stinging overhand right.  
Kelty lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Kelty lands with a stinging jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Syvertsen's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Syvertsen's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Syvertsen steps inside.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Syvertsen dabs at his face checking for damage.  Syvertsen has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Kelty switches the action to the outside and strikes his opponents body with a firm cross.  
Kelty lands a jab.  
Syvertsen gets on the inside and manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Syvertsen lands a right uppercut.  
Syvertsen throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Syvertsen steps away from his opponent.  Kelty lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Kelty is on target with a left hook to Syvertsen's body.  
Syvertsen throws a left hook, but Kelty clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Kelty pushes his forearm into Syvertsen's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Kelty about fouling.  
Kelty connects with a left uppercut.  
Syvertsen lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Kelty is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Syvertsen steps inside.  Syvertsen pivots to the left of his opponent.  Kelty lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Kelty steps away from his opponent and connects with a stinging cross.  
Kelty throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Kelty steps inside.  Syvertsen is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Syvertsen is looking to close the distance.  Syvertsen pivots to the right of his opponent.  Kelty lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.

Syvertsen tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Kelty behind the head. Syvertsen is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Syvertsen tries to step out of his opponents range.  Kelty feints a right hook, and then lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.
