Cole Shongwe vs Asavela Erasmus

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Gauteng promoted show at Jackson Mkhize Gym, Soweto,  taking place on 30/06/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Africa-Gauteng Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cole Shongwe (7 - 6 - 4) who hails from Soshanguve, South Africa and Asavela Erasmus(8 - 10 - 2) from Mamelodi, South Africa.  Both Shongwe and Erasmus weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Colin Ntambwe, and the three ringside judges are Cole Twala, Quoitrel Sotyu and John Nzambi.
