Tobias Alford vs Sam Watson

Boxing Daily Report from the TFI promoted show at Milford Ice Pavillion, Waterbury,  taking place on 12/08/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Connecticut Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Tobias Alford (11 - 0) who hails from Stamford, USA and Sam Watson(13 - 2) from Waterbury, USA.  Alford weighed in at 140 pounds, while Watson weighed in at 139 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Davie Fitzroy, and the three ringside judges are Mike Dysart, Davie Fitzroy and Michael Shanks.  

Round 1: 

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Watson dabs at his face checking for damage.  Watson has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Alford is looking to keep his distance and hits home with a hard jab.
