James Cheman vs Denzel Bitature

Boxing Daily Report from the Hacopyan Promotions promoted show at Kampala Wasajja, Kampala,  taking place on 02/07/2026:

Clearly Hacopyan Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uganda-Kampala District Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are James Cheman (8(2) - 3) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Denzel Bitature(7 - 9(1) - 2) from Kampala, Uganda.  Both Cheman and Bitature weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Polo Bourdillon, and the three ringside judges are Lloyd Araptany, LeBron Omondi and Paul Butime.

Cheman lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Cheman lands a sharp cross.  
Cheman gets on the inside.  Bitature pivots from in front of his opponent andAs the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Cheman dabs at his face checking for damage.

It looks like Bitature has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.
