Gethin Phiri vs Jozef Kloppers

Boxing Daily Report from the Rail Roaders promoted show at Port Elizabeth Mathoho, Port Elizabeth,  taking place on 31/07/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Africa-Eastern Cape Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gethin Phiri (8 - 1) who hails from iBhayi, South Africa and Jozef Kloppers(9 - 7 - 1) from iBhayi, South Africa.  Phiri weighed in at 134 pounds and 11 ounces, while Kloppers weighed in at 134 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mason Baramoto, and the three ringside judges are Udenwa Kpegah, Puleng Bungu and Dele Hlatshwayo.
