Sung-yun Choe vs Young-cheol Chae

Boxing Daily Report from the Kabeta Promotions promoted show at South Korea-Daejeon Gym, Daejeon,  taking place on 31/07/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Korea-Daejeon Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sung-yun Choe (3 - 6) who hails from Daejeon, South Korea and Young-cheol Chae(9 - 9 - 3) from Daejeon, South Korea.  Both Choe and Chae weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sung-yun Chung, and the three ringside judges are Seung-gyu Yee, Keun-ho U and Bum-young Kwak.  

Round 1: 

Chae connects with a left hook.  
Choe is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Chae lands a cross.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Choe.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Chae walks Choe onto the ropes.  Chae connects with a right hook.  
Chae gets on the inside and lands a right hook.  
Choe is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Chae lands a cross.  
Chae steps inside.  Choe pivots to the right of his opponent.  Choe throws a right hook, but Chae holds on to his opponent.  Chae is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Chae manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Choe connects with a right hook.  
Chae advances into close range.  Choe is on target with a right hook.
