Lee Slatter vs Cody Whitehorn

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Jamaica-Saint Andrew promoted show at New Kingston Carver, New Kingston,  taking place on 23/07/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SportsMax, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Lee Slatter (14 - 0) who hails from New Kingston, Jamaica and Cody Whitehorn(8 - 5 - 1) from Kingston, Jamaica.  Slatter weighed in at 130 pounds, while Whitehorn weighed in at 129 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Alen Candlish, and the three ringside judges are Zachary Rebecca, Kyle Burnside and David Leith.  

Round 1: 

Slatter manouvers Whitehorn into the corner.  Slatter is on target with a right uppercut to Whitehorn's ribs.  
Slatter gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by  two right uppercuts to his opponents head.  Slatter holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Slatter pushes his forearm into Whitehorn's face.  The referee warns Slatter and breaks the clinch.  
Slatter gets on the inside.  Slatter pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Slatter steps inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Slatter is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Slatter walks Whitehorn down, trapping him in the corner.  Slatter digs in a left uppercut to Whitehorn's body.  
Slatter is on target with a left uppercut.  
Slatter lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Slatter holds on to his opponent.  Slatter throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Slatter.
