Mehmed Akdemir vs Aydin Sokullu

Boxing Daily Report from the Jumbo Promotions promoted show at Ankara Hanim, Ankara,  taking place on 01/08/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Turkey Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on NTV Spor, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mehmed Akdemir (13 - 9(2) - 1) who hails from Istanbul, Turkey and Aydin Sokullu(14 - 5 - 3) from Ankara, Turkey.  Both Akdemir and Sokullu weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Goker Arap, and the three ringside judges are Goker Arap, Hakan Araci and Aydin Hashim.
