Daniel Handyside vs Eti Koni

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Canterbury promoted show at Christchurch Dunstan, Christchurch,  taking place on 01/08/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Canterbury Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Daniel Handyside (9 - 4 - 3 - 1(NC)) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Eti Koni(8 - 5 - 2) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Both Handyside and Koni weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dave Pera, and the three ringside judges are Richard Kier, Tobias Vert and Clint Cattell.
